- No Required Account: You can play, solve, create, and print all our word search puzzles without registering or providing an email address.
- Local Storage Only for Gameplay: Your active board progress, timer, and view zoom preferences are stored strictly inside your browser’s local storage.
- Advertising Disclosures: We partner with Google AdSense to serve non-intrusive advertisements that keep our puzzles free for everyone. You have full control over personalized advertising cookies.

1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how PuzzleJot (“we”, “our”, or “the Website”), accessible at https://puzzlejot.com, collects, uses, and safeguards information when you access our digital word search games, custom word search maker, and downloadable print-ready PDF worksheets.
By using PuzzleJot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of our site.
2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information You Choose to Provide
PuzzleJot is designed so solvers can play and print free worksheets without creating an account or providing personal details. We only receive personal information that you voluntarily submit to us (such as your name and email address when submitting a contact inquiry or support request).
B. Digital Purchases & Payment Processing (Lemon Squeezy)
When purchasing our commercial printable PDF collections, your transaction is securely handled by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, LLC. Financial payment credentials (credit/debit card numbers, CVV, billing address) are collected and processed directly by Lemon Squeezy under rigorous PCI-DSS Level 1 security standards.
PuzzleJot never sees, stores, or handles your credit card numbers. We only receive essential transaction metadata from Lemon Squeezy (your order ID, name, email address, purchased bundle, and transaction timestamp) to fulfill your digital download, verify your access tokens, and provide customer care.
C. Automatically Collected Technical Data & Server Logs
Like virtually all website operators, our hosting servers automatically log standard network requests when you visit. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, language preference, referring/exit pages, operating system, timestamp, and requested URLs. This technical data is used strictly for server health monitoring, security anomaly detection, DDoS defense, and rate-limiting.
D. Browser Local Storage for Gameplay
To deliver a seamless solving experience without requiring an account, we use standard HTML5 local storage (or session storage) on your device. This saves:
- Words you have highlighted and found on the active puzzle board.
- Your solving elapsed timer and view zoom settings (e.g., Fit Screen, Standard, or Large Print).
- Custom word lists you enter into the Word Search Maker tool. These custom lists are processed 100% locally in your browser and are never uploaded or stored on our public database.
3. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense
To support the free availability of our original word search collection and printable worksheets, PuzzleJot works with third-party advertising partners, notably Google AdSense.
